i are tired...

my life for the past three days...
Friday - tilled, regraded and seeded the new soil I hauled last week to fill the hole left over from getting rid of the pool.
Saturday - started raking leaves at six thirty in the morning, got done around nine. ran a few errands, then spent the rest of the daylight hours cleaning up the back woods; picked up a zillion branches, pruned shrubs, mowed the open areas, gathered autumn flowers from the woodland gardens; joe pye weed, goldenrod, Queen Anne's Lace for the dining hall table.
Sunday - did the grocery shopping, ran a few more errands, then spent five hours pruning our massive mullberry tree by our driveway. It had a ton of dead wood and was hanging over our specimen red maple, so I opened it up so the maple would get even light, it's starting to grow side heavy. Hauled all the limbs to the brush pile out back, raked and picked up all the twigs and leaves. It never ends...
Now time for dinner, our daughter Gill is visiting for the evening. Grilled Cubanelle pepper sandwiches, with marinated plum tomato slices and mozzarella cheese, with a home made bow tie pasta salad and some wine. Maybe even a fire tonight, if I can muster up the energy to start one. The work week looms...
Have a wonderful evening, my fellow wanderers. Fare thee well.

wander with me...
