To one and all.
Don't let what happened in Washington today get you down. We will prevail. Stay sharp, whet your sights on November.

I'm done on both sides. I'm withdrawing until after the holidays. Not a whole lot makes any sense right now, I feel like a whirling dervish on acid. I need to spend some time contemplating things.
Be well. Have a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, a peaceful and gentle Solstice. I'll be back after the turn of the year. You're all swell in my book. Thanks for hanging around.

And we did prevail. As a people, together, united against our foes. Not as conquerors. Not for gain. For peace and security and our way of life on our soil, not on the soil of those defeated.
I hope we can be as our forefathers when we face such a situation again.
Bless those who perished on this day and, while some might argue, remember those who were responsible for this day as well, for, as Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is alleged to have said,
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.",
indeed they did, and America became stronger for it. Will America respond to the same such wake up call again in such a way? I think we will. Don't know about some of the people who share our Nation with us, but we Americans will.
Later.

Here's the finished installation of the mantle piece and the trim around the bookcase, which has been stocked with about a third of my New Jersey, Battle of Monmouth and Molly Pitcher collection.
Back to work.

I'm cooked. Too much activity and wood working and cleaning and eating and life in general have ossified my brain meats. Taking a break until next week. Still have lots to do before Christmas and the new year gets here.
See you later.
