34...

I finally received the Haloscan death notice and my comments with them are now disabled, so I'm using the embedded Blogger comment thing until I figure out whether or not I want to shell out thirteen dollars a month to Echo to host my comments. I'm thinking not.
Please let me know how the Blogger comment thing is treating you.
Thanks,
The Management

Me personally, I've never had much trouble out of the native Blogger comment component. I am not using Echo myself, but know a handful of people who have and have since dumped it. :P

I've had no problems with Blogger's comment feature, and yours seems to be working fine.

I don't have any problems with blogger comments. The problems I hear about are when people use the word verification - some commenters can't see it. Otherwise, I think they've improved a lot over the years.

I don't care much for the Echo thing and certainly would say don't pay to use it! For less than $13 a month you could buy hosting service and use Word Press if you were so inclined - that's way too steep for comments!

The only other service I know about that is free is Disqus

http://disqus.com/comments/

You might check it out if you really decide blogger comments aren't working for you.

I've gone back to using Blogger comments, my only complaint is sometimes you have to hit the 'post' button repeatedly to get them to post, but apart from that they're fine.
